Available Rescue Dalmatians

Amelia

Young
female
White - with Black
0 Pounds
Dalmatian
American Staffordshire Terrier

Amelia was originally adopted from the Houston shelter as a tiny pup with her littermate, Taz. Sadly, she was again picked up by animal control a year later. Amelia has been with us a year as she is timid and shy when she first meets new people. However, once she gets to know you she is a extremely loving and very sweet girl. She just needs to make sure she can trust you first. Could you make this girl the happiest dog around and give her the forever home she deserves? Amelia should not be adopted with Taz although they do love each other a lot. They do fuss like siblings way too much! She would prefer to be an only dog home.

Cammie

Adult
female
White - with Black
0 Pounds
Dalmatian

UPDATE: Cammie's owner passed away after only 6 years with her in the mountains of Colorado. Cammie is a much more laid back dog now and a soulmate who knows hand signals and behaves well. She would like to be an only dog and would like to chase small animals if possible. So only larger dog homes with no cats should consider her. She misses her life and her mom and would like to find another home to love her.

Former listing in 2011
I am a beautiful 2 yr old DEAF gal who just got here. Ok so it took me longer than usual to adjust to such a wild chaotic place s the rescue is. BUT I am DEAF and that makes things scarier right? AND I have NEVER EVER been out of my back yard OR seen other humans but MINE.. That was ALOT to throw at me at once. NO wonder I was running and freaking out.

Things are good here now though! I got this thing DOWN PAT. I now am in trouble for barking for my way (and boy do I want my way) BUT if you give me the mean face I sit right now and be pretty for you. I am just a pup you see.. very happy and very bouncy and very excited about .. well.. about.. EVERYTHING! I love life!

I do need a calmer dog that can hear to be my ears and my buddy.. but I need them to still want to PLAY some too.. Boy I like to play.. and I like to cuddle and I like to eat and I like to sing and I like to run and I like to just HAVE FUN!

They say I am a Character (whatever that means) now that I am past the "super freak' stage! I like being a "character" I think!

Labrador Retriever

ADOPTION PENDING!

My name is Chistery (from the book Wicked of the Wizard of Oz story), and I am one smart little monkey! If I could really fly, like my namesake, I would travel straight to your heart. My favorite things in the world are playing, cuddling and giving kisses! I am a very smart boy. I even learned to use the dog door as a young pup! I get my intelligence from my mom, a Dal mix. I assure you I am the dog you have been waiting for.

Dale Roger

Adult
male
50 Pounds
Dalmatian

Dale was Lisa's mate in the puppy mill. He too is very timid around strangers and new things but has come a long way. Dale smiles when he is happy or worried but soooo much wants to be a good dog. He, like Lisa, needs a quiet patient home to bring out the beauty within.

Pics to come!

Galinda

Young

Black - with White
55 Pounds
Dalmatian
Cocker Spaniel

Hello Everyone! I am Galinda (Iím the good witch for you Wizard of Oz fans). It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. I am a beautiful girl who canít wait to follow the yellow brick road to my furever home! I have sparkling eyes and a soft, shiny coat. My mother was half Dalmation, half mixed breed, and my Dad is part Cocker Spaniel, Chow and Miniature Poodle! Can you believe that? I am lucky enough to get my good looks from both of my parents. I get along with other dogs here at the rescue, but I prefer to be the only one getting attention from my people. I have an extremely loving personality, but I tend to form the closest bonds with human females. I canít wait to have a human of my very own! I will love you forever and ever and ever.

UPDATE: Galinda has been adopted to several families with men. After a few months, she was not running away and barking at the man and actually letting him pet her on the bed, but for Galinda's sake, we really need to find a female only home. She loves all the men volunteers at the rescue but it took a long while for her to trust them,,, run and greet them and get in their laps and via for their attention.

Lisa

Adult
female
White - with Black
40 Pounds
Dalmatian

Lisa has spent her life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. She is learning what humans are that "home" is not being alone in a tiny pen until she has puppies and gets them taken away each time. She is almost housebroken with a dog door, and has learned to trust those she knows well. Lisa gets along with all dogs and has shown no aggression despite being extremely terrified. She comes and asks for love and petting from time to time now and just needs a quiet patient home to bring out her happy personality.

Great Dane

Stay tuned for our all white, blue eyed, "little" deaf boy, Love. He is currently not available for adoption as he has to be altered before he can be adopted and he has a strong fear of leashes. It may take some time to get him to the vet for his neuter.

ASSISTED PLACEMENT: For more information, call or text 925-759-4323

For the last two weeks we have been fostering Spotty. Spotty is a dream pup with the softest, most loving temperament. We have not seen any aggression at all! Not to food, other dogs, people and babies. Her hobbies include standing upright on her back feet like a bear, kissing our pitbull Virginia and long cuddles. I found her in our neighborhood roaming with AWFUL feet conditions. Her pads were so run down from her travels that they have cratered and some of toe nails have ripped/fallen off. She has trouble walking due to tenderness, however, a majority of the time she forgets she is in paid due to her happiness. She is healing and is in MUCH better health since we have had her. We love her, but are moving and donít necessarily have room for her with our other dogs. RockySpot is assisting in the placement of Spotty. Feel free to call or text for more information at 925-759-4323.

Taz

Young
male
White - with Black
49 Pounds
Dalmatian
American Staffordshire Terrier

Taz was adopted as a young pup from the Houston shelter with Amelia, his littermate. Taz and Amelia ended up back at the shelter a year later when they were picked up by animal control. Taz has been at RockySpot for about a year. He is very timid at first, but will warm up to you once he learns that he can trust you. This handsome boy has stolen the hearts of everyone at RockySpot! Taz is searching for his forever home where he can finally have a family. Taz should not be adopted with Amelia.

Due to his shy personality, he would do best living with a confidant happy dog to be his role model and strengthen his courage and confidence

Young sweet loving active deaf male. COMING SOON

Tuff

Adult
male
White - with Black
0 Pounds
Dalmatian

From his Foster Family: He is deaf in both ears. He may become overwhelmed at first with a strange dog but not for long as they get to know one another. He will cower if the other dog is Very large and an alpha. Example: My son has a large alpha female German Sheppard and a smaller mix breed. When we baby sit them, and the little one and Tuffy begin to play, the female steps in and both cower as what happens also at their home.

Tuffy is a sweet, very loving boy but he does have food aggression with us but we havenít seen it with him and other dogs being fed as they all have their own place. He Loves walks and romps.
